Introducing Larry Crabtree a New Representative
for Manna Publications to the Americas
December 9, 2009 - Larry Crabtree, a retired business man from Jerfferson City Missouri (MO), is being appointed as the Manna Publications Representative to the Americas, after meeting for several days with the founder and current director, Fred Morris and others in leadership of this ministry.
Fred Morris said, "I will endorse him to the Board as the man to take charge of Manna Publications (USA) Inc, and don't see any reason for the Board not to accept him as the Director." This is welcome news in the ministry, which has been openly searching for someone to take charge of Manna Publications. Fred Morris knows his own frailties and poor health with Parkinsons disease. Mr. Crabtree will spend some time getting to meet and know other key workers in this international ministry that seeks to provide sound Bible study materials in easy English, and easy-to-translate books for other languages. Distributors in a number of countries print these books locally and are able to distribute them at extraordinarily low prices to the people who need them most. More such distributors are sought by the mission all the time.
Larry Crabtree is already familiar with the manna books, having used both the French and English editions in Cameroon, West Africa, where he has been encouraging small scattered congregations and grounding people in God's Word. He has encouraged national pastors to use these materials in their own ministries too.
Crabtree has preached in churches from Alaska to Mexico, and from Guatamala to Haiti, as well as all over west Africa. Thus, traveling and representing Manna Publications will suit him well. His first assignment of course, is to bring the greater activity for the mission to the Spanish-speaking peoples of the Americas.
How was Crabtree discovered?
Usually the national distributors in various countries have to have a sponsor to show them how to download the manuscripts from the UK Manna Publications website and how to get them printed and start their distribution work. But a new one began doing this, apparently on this his own, and also printing books in English to ship to a contact in southern Cameroon. When the Manna people asked who his sponsor was, he gave them the name of a retired business man ministering there, Larry Crabtree.
Upon checking him out, Manna found they already had a friend and champion there in this man.
